Cut To Length Line Operator

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

• Set up new work orders and operate the cut-to-length line machine.
• Understand and execute computer commands associated with equipment.

Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and correct machine problems, report equipment failures to the supervisor, and assist in maintenance.

Safety and Productivity:

• Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to safety guidelines and wearing proper protective equipment.
• Perform required housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working area.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably with steel experience.
• Having experience operating computer-controlled machines, such as CNC machines or Cut-to-Length Line Levellers, is a great asset.

Skills & Abilities:

• Basic maths skills and functional literacy in reading, writing, and calculations.
• Good communication and multitasking skills, including good English language proficiency.
• Dependability and reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with general computer programs and operating computerized machinery.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team, under general supervision.
• Familiarity with basic measuring equipment, including micrometers.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $26.15 – $29.65 per hour.
• Additional pay for overtime.

Working Hours:

Full-time position with three shift options:

• Dayshift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• Afternoons: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM.

Candidates will be assigned to one specific shift but may occasionally be required to cover other shifts.
